Oh how much do I genuinely love this. The boots are a serve, the holographic print with very subtle rhinestoning is pleasing to the camera and the lights but isn’t a complete 100% sparkle look. I also like the tie belt and slightly oversized shirtdress look paired with the slight slouch of the boots. It feels very *swagger* to me.

Sophia Webster ‘Freya Embellished Platform Sandals’ – $675.00
Rather than trying to find an anchor point to ground her colourful dress, she chose to add onto it with these platform Sophia Webster sandals. I’m typically preferable to a sleekly lined sandal, but I also love me an ankle strap moment and I like that the dark tone on these sandals is juuuuust enough of a contrast “quiet” moment before yet another burst of rainbow to finish off the look.

Christian Louboutin ‘Goldostrap Pumps’ – $1,100.00 (sold out)
With the more angles and photos revealed of this ensemble, the more confused I am. In theory, a pinstripe blazer dress is a solid win in my books for Taylor. it’s sultry, feminine, but powerful — precisely the type of image a woman who has just released her very first LP that she fully owns would want to convey. But this deconstructed loose-fitting one with a contrast gold lamé panel, messy updo, and nude toned heels that don’t complement the cooler tone of the pinstripe is confusing.
That said, the shoes themselves definitely align with that “powerful” imagery Taylor was likely going for. Recognizable for their red sole, with a spiky kick. And also a sweet nod to her former vintage style with the t strap design.
Given my way, this would have been a slicked ponytail with a navy pinstripe blazer dress moment paired with these shoes.

Prada ‘Black Lace Up 110 Military Boots’ – $1,205.00
Taylor delivered a stunning setlist in Paris today (“Style” lives to see another era! “Red” into “Daylight”!!) wearing what upon my first judgment appeared to be a very rep-era approved outfit.
The overall somber palette, lace up combat boots, and Faith Connexion-esque tie front silhouette all seemed to harken back to her previous darker-hued aesthetic. Though the sequin stripes presented here do bear some similarity to her custom The Blonds moment from her Amazon concert.
I had fully expected another pastel moment so while this (for me at least) is a very pleasing look that fills my anything black loving heart (that silky top is swoon-worthy) it seems at odds with the Lover look. But I’ll take it!

Saint Laurent ‘Lou Lou Ankle Boots’ –
While I didn’t approve of the last time Taylor wore a bold pair of ankle boots by Saint Laurent, this fares much better paired with this outfit. Namely because the bright fuchsia tones speak back to the embellishments on her blouse.
In a way, they also sort of bring a modern cowgirl vibe to the outfit given the sheer blouse and high-waisted leather shorts. The proportions of the outfit work much better with an ankle boot look over a full length jumpsuit.
